first you have your base colors shadows tend to get cast under the neck so i'm going to make some with a basic brush with hardness set at zero you should put some shadows by the nose and under the lips light skin people have this kind of peach tone with some reds the hair cast shadows so i'll add some of that i'm going to use some browns for the shadows if your using a photo refrence make sure to find
something with lots of contrast photographer they tend photoshop there models skin and make them even lighter that they are the best thing would be getting someone to pose for you most of us can't afford models when you add highlights i don't recommend going white i feel like your giving your painting a little more life by adding a hue levels is a useful to give your coloring more contrast going to color balance and adjust the colors to your liking
