hi, i'm jay french with jayfrenchstudios.comand i'm going to teach you how to draw jesus. of course, drawing jesus is up to a lot ofinterpretation. we're just going to kind of do a classical general look here and you canvariate it as you see fit. we're going to do an angle three quarter angle somethinggood to do with that. we're going to give his hairline in here. what's good to do withthe three quarter angle is to show some prominence. there's usually some dramatic features shownwhen jesus depicted in art. pronounce cheek bones, pronounce brow ridge. he's usuallygiven a prominent nose partly because he's middle eastern and also it gives him a littlemore of a gentle look. eyes of sort course are very important to capture and such aniconic figure so we want a lot of expression
and depth to them and a lot of feeling inthere as you can see there. again, prominent eyebrows you don't want them to be sharplyangled because we want a sensitive look. we're going to make this a smiling jesus and anyinterpretations to the shape of his beard. we're going to go with a common combly shownsort of two points. i believe davinci was one of the artist to depict jesus that way.i want it to be a little unkempt. he was nomadic in the desert remember and of course you probablywon't see his ears for his hair. he didn't visit a barber very often and put some curlin his hair just to if you like just to add again more softness to his appearance andwe have a nice pleasant depiction and that's one of the ways that you can draw jesus.
