anime coloring pages for adults

hello my lovelies~! if you haven't alreadywatched my tutorial on how to draw a basic anime eye in 3 strokes, i'll leave it rightover here. but if you've already done so and you're like "yea man that tutorial was lame,i wanna learn how to actually draw eyes." this tutorial will go slightly more in depth andi'll show you how to draw more than just one typical/generic eye. just on a side note,i recently launched my facebook fanpage so if you find this tutorial helpful i'd reallyappreciate it if you guys could go check it out, and click the like button! anyways, let'sget started. firstly, let's make like a little table of contents. in this tutorial i'll go overthe 4 cliche style of eyes that i guarantee

you'll see in every anime you watch. the first eye islike the "main character/marry-sue/moe moe" type; the second is the "goodie-two-shoe/kind/alsopotential main character" type; the third is like the "cool" type , andthe fourth is the "emotionless" type. to start off, i'm going to draw 4 oval shapesfor their pupils and teach you how to do each of these step by step. okaaaaay so starting with number 1. the moe-moe-marry-sue-main-character eyes. this is the typical cute girl eyes thatare present in like 50% of main girl characters. these are generally for people who are likesuper cheerful and happy and cutsy. examples are like fairy tail, anohana, this thing withthe name i can't pronounce, and the good ol'

sailor moon. now with this type just think "circle". these eyes are generally super round and big and sparkly so they can shine out above everyone elseand make sure you know that they are the main characters :))) first of all, let's make this oval morecircle-ly generally you can see most of their pupilsso the top and bottom eyelids should be veeeery close to the pupil but barely or not touching.the eyelids should be very soft and round too. there can be a little angle in the endbut no super sharp corners or winged eyeliners!

these girls generally have a ridiculousamount of eyelashes so flick that wrist! remember to put lots of sparkles/these whitecircles in their eyes~! number 2! kind/goodie-two-shoe eyes. this type of eyes are super similar to the firstkind we just learned, and super typical in main characters. these are generally for whatthe name suggests, the really nice and soft and kind girls. examples are like sao, clannad, bleach, and madoka magica. this type of eyes are more oval shaped thanthe first, except more like a horizontal oval. the important thing is that these eyes "tiltdown" near the end of their eyes, which gives it a softer look.

with these the eyelids are slightly touchingthe pupil. if you want them to touch the pupil that's fine too. these are just my tips foryou, i'm not the law or the freakin' bible so you can adjust a lot of what i tell youto what you like/your own style. remember to make the eyes tilt down at theend! this is the key to this type of eyes. these girls are a little more on the downlow in terms of mascara. they like the more o'natural look. so just a littlebit of eyelashes here and there. now you add sparkles. but don't over doit for these guys. annnnd on to number 3! these are the cool girl eyes. they appear in a lot of main characterstoo but a loot less often than the first two.

this is generally for girls who are superbadass, cool or sometimes even evil. examples are fate stay night, kill la kill, erza fromfairy tail, ciel from black butl- .... wait a second. anyways! these eyes are generally very "pointy",and they tend to do the opposite of the kind eyes and "tilt forward". the basic shape iskind of like an egg placed horizontally with the pointy edge near the inner corner of theireyes. their pupils are more rectangular, thinkof it like the eyelids cover the top and bottom part of the pupil so what's left is like thisweird, circular rectangle thingy. as for the eyelids, the top bends down a

lot at the front and slowly curves. and with these girls remember to bring on that winged eyeliner~! the bottom eyelids are very angular comparedto the last two which are round. there's often a little bend near the end.they have a fair amount of mascara on as well, so a little less than type one but morethan type 2. they don't have a ton of sparkles in theireyes so to keep it on the down low i like to make this really squished oval shape inthe middle side of the eye. the last one is the emotionless eyes. these generally appear in characters who are quiet, and rather heartless or emotionally detached. examples are homura from madoka magica, mikasa(my queen) from shingeki no kyojin, and that

girl from my little monster. these are fairly easy. just think "straight"or "flat". in this case it's just like a straight out rectangle in terms of shape. their pupils are pretty much the same asthe 3rd type of eyes, except maybe even more rectangular.for their eyelids, just literally make it as flat as you can and it's alllllll good.maybe with a little bend in the back. but keep it as straight as you can. and um, as for the eyelashes, it's a littlehard to draw them on these characters so generally when i do it i just, don't. xd i also don't like to add any light/sparkles

in these types so it really brings out howdead and lifeless they are. anyways! that's basically the gish of it. and with that you can basically create a widediversity of characters. *sighs* no wonder people bash the anime style cuz it's so limitedin options. oh well, wuteva hater's gonna hate but! if you want to learn how i stylize myeyes so they're not all the same, click here to watch my video on how i do it! if you guys have any questions click hereto see my "frequently asked questions", also shortened as f.a.q. if this doesn't answerit, feel free to leave a comment below or
