ah yes, the creepypasta. on the internet, creepypastas are essentially internet horror stories. passed around on forums, and other sites to disturb and frighten readers. and with these stories, there are obviously fanbases. and with fanbases, there is artwork. just leave it up to the internet to make something that is supposed to be scary and disturbing... ...and turn it into an hunky anime teenage boy. but today we will be reviewing the art and fan art of creepypastas. some good, and some bad. let's begin. so, first thing we have here is of course, fetish art. now, this isn't particularly drawn badly, i kind of actually like the consistent style it has.
but one question i have about this is, why jeff the killer? isn't he some sort of psychotic murderer? why is this the character they chose for a feet inflating art piece? so here we have our first actual piece of writing. "once, there was a man named bob." "he had a wife but no kids." "he was a nice guy, he was never mean." "but he had a dark side to him."
"in his basement, he watched"... ..."my little pony, with a dead cow named sally." "they were fun people, except for when they watched my little pony." "but one day, a tornado came and killed his wife"... ..."and took away sally, so he ran away and never came back." "and if you see his barn at night, you can hear a faint cow moo." "the end. thank you for reading my story."... ...what? i'm sorry, what?
um, i have a few questions? why was this man watching television with a dead cow? that's never really explained? why were they watching just my little pony? and... just... why would the cow have a faint moo at the end? and there's no explanation at all, i just have no idea what this is.
so here we have what is probably one of the laziest pieces of art i have ever seen. i mean, all you did was take the original design and color over it. where is the effort in that? listen, if you draw cringy art, fine. but if you just draw over something that is already 95% made by someone else, then i can't have much respect for you. if you draw the whole thing on your own, you at least show some effort. but drawing over something else is just lazy, and won't let you improve. are you serious?
really? this is supposed to be a creepypasta? it's not even close to being scary in any way. it looks like one of those girls you see at a halloween party. not a frickin' murderer. like, really? why does the hair have to be multicolored? and what makes this even worse is the fact that a base pretty much takes up about 75% of the drawing. now, let's take a look at the description. "story: miniza was bullied when little, then killed the bully when alone in the forest." "after killed her whole family, miniza is very powerful, brave and beautiful."
"she went to slenderman's mansion and met jeff the killer." "jeff loved her ever since they met." "slender also has feelings for miniza." "whenever miniza is mad, her eyes turn to the slender sign and then she attacks you." "with a single hit, you will be dead." "jeff and miniza are also in a relationship." "slender is mad at jeff for that, but miniza enjoys jeff." okay, this is supposed to be a creepypasta? because there is nothing scary about this. also, why the hell does a killer have so many relationships?
"stats: speed: 10/10." "power: 10/10." "intelligence: 10/10." "strength: 10/10."... ...10 out of 10 for everything?... ...that's a tad ridiculous, don't you think? now, this drawing is not in any way particularly bad, and i don't really have anything to say about it, but i think that the, um...
...title is a bit uncreative. now when it comes to creepypastas, everyone always messes around with losing their sanity. and you know, if you can do it well, losing your sanity can be scary. but when it is done over and over and over again, it just becomes bland. like, i get it, he's supposed to be insane but really?
saying "i'm not crazy, hee-hee-hee-hee", it just doesn't come off as scary to me. now, this one does have a base, but it's still pretty moderate. obviously, this could use some improvement, like having some less pixelated lines to make it match the style of the base. but there is just one major flaw i would like to point out. and that is, what is going on with this creature's nose? i mean, what is that?! i don't know if this is a trait of the character, but my god is it hilarious!
so, it appears as though this thing has the facial dimensions of quagmire. i think the eyes could be more than just these sort of pupils in between sideways parentheses, and maybe this person could add some more shading and details, and then maybe this could improve. so, this is another pony base, and i suppose it's okay, but i have a few things i would like to talk about. um... ...why take something like the skin-taker and turn it into a pony?
i mean, i actually did some research on this. apparently, the skin-taker is a skeleton marionette that is related to candle cove that takes people's skin, uses it as clothing, and speaks with the dead. so, what exactly do you have to gain from making it a pony? i mean, the original is a skeleton. but this thing is clearly covered in flesh. it's not even accurate. you could've at least made it have a pony skeleton.
i just don't understand what the appeal is for making it a pony. slenderman. vore. oh wait, i'm sorry, slenderwoman vore. but, w-w-wh-why?! why on earth would you want a demon of all things eating you? it doesn't make any sense! like, *sigh*
whatever, i'm moving on. so, for this one i think that the lines could be a bit cleaner, the gap between her legs could be smaller, and i just don't think that the red blood lines are really necessary. like, guys, random red blood lines don't really add anything to creepypastas. it's just an extra detail that comes off as overdone. now, when i think "creepypasta", this is the kind of thing i expect to enjoy. yes, of course it is simple, but notice how it isn't a happy or just plain boring piece.
and also notice how it actually adds to slenderman, instead of just being a carbon copy of him. i think the messy lines are appropriate in this picture, and this of course is a legitimately scary piece of artwork. it is, of course, not the best, but it is still interesting. now, for this user, i have nothing but praise for their creepypasta drawings. i would like to point out that instead of splattering blood everywhere with little thought, there's actually placement for the blood flowing down the knife, which seems to point out to more thought put into it. i also greatly enjoy the style of this piece, with the jagged and forceful looking lines. now, this one is a new piece made by an aspiring artist i do kind of like.
i think the jaw is exaggerated enough to make it interesting, and i like the style and way you drew the lines. however, i think that perhaps the completely red, almost neon eyes are a bit over-the-top, and aren't really necessary. but nonetheless, this is one of the better original creepypasta drawings i've seen in a while. now, this is just fantastic. and i especially like because the way they drew the face of jeff the killer. instead of having it be a clean-cut emo anime boy, this actually makes you feel uncomfortable. it looks unnatural. it looks...
*clears throat* but of course there is nothing wrong with viewing a different side of something like jeff the killer. and making it in an anime version or cute. or something like that. but it does tend to get boring when that version of jeff the killer is... ...everywhere. just saying. anyway, my name is solar sands, and goodbye.
