hi in this video i’m going to show you howi style this wig from moe mall. i left a link in the video description to their website.if you want to know more about price, handling time, shipping, or returns just go to straightto their website. i’m not answering here. i’m putting on my wig cap here which wasincluded with the wig. now i'm putting on my wig. so when this wig arrived this is what it looked like straight from the packaging. it was slightly wavyat the front and the bangs were too long. i’m going to start by parting the wig and straightening it these wigs are heat resistant up to 200cwhich is 392f. i’m using my straightener
on its lowest setting which is 250f. you probablywouldn’t want to go any slower than the pace i’m going at in this video avoid damaging thewig. i’m just straightening it in sections. my straightener is by ed hardy. now, i’m going to cut the wig. i am usinghair shears; you can use regular scissors but they won’t be as sharp. i’m startingat the gray side and taking the strand of hair between two fingers and just cuttingvertical, cutting upwards. i’m keeping the sides pretty long and leaving it at about my jawline.then i section off the bangs. i want them side swept so, the gray side will be shorterthan the white side. i’m holding this strand between two fingers right at my eye andusing that as a sort of measurement or guide
so i don’t trim too much off. i want thehair to lay right over my eyebrows. then i’m trimming the white side and justmaking sure it’s symmetrical to the gray side. for styling i’m using gatsby hair wax in“grunge matâ€. i’m using a small amount and rubbing it just on my fingertips then,collecting strands of hair to make them more defined and then i'm running my fingers throughthe back of the wig to add volume. i have to order this hair wax online, i’venever been able to find it in store. there are other gatsby lines and other hair waxesthat might be available near you. i only have experience with gatsby so, i wouldn’t knowwhat else to recommend. hair wax is not as
stiff as hairspray so it allows you to moldthe hair more. with hair gel or hair spray you’ll end up with a crisp texture in thewig. that being said, the hold isn’t as strong so, i wear this in my actual hair andi find that by the end of the day my hair goes flat. sometimes i can run my fingersthrough my hair and kind of fluff it up again but, it needs upkeep. so between wearing you’dhave to style this wig again. it’s not ideal for intense spikes or styles it’s good for adding texture or movement. this is the finished wig, i hope you enjoyedand thank you for watching!
